Streets like a zoo
Through a city of lights
Love at first sight
Silent rays of blue
They slowly glide
Right down my spine

News of the Week
The San Francisco Giants have claimed its third World Series championship this decade by defeating the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Among the eight players on all three World Series rosters are Jeremy Affeldt (who picked up the Game 7 victory), catcher Buster Posey, third baseman Pablo "Panda" Sandoval, and this year's World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner. The celebration around SF was marred by 40 arrests, two shootings, a stabbing, and bonfires - primarily in the Mission District.

"Bumgarner is a great starting pitcher. We'll see what kind of reliever he is."
-- Ned Yost, Kansas City Royals manager

"You know what, I can't lie to you anymore. I'm a little tired now."
-- Madison Bumgarner, San Francisco Giants pitcher

"I can't wait to celebrate the return of our hometown heroes with a parade down Market Street and civic celebration in front of City Hall to welcome our Giants home."
-- Ed Lee, San Francisco mayor

"To the clowns that came to San Francisco to act out, I guess you just don't know what it's like to have a good time without being a jerk."
-- Greg Suhr, SFPD police chief

In a building dating back to 1884, there really was a sausage factory at this location until the 1940s. The restaurant, which opened in 1968, kept the original meat racks and the black iron smokehouse room doors. Today, it's a family-friendly Italian restaurant with hearty pizzas and pastas to share. 3-1/2 stars - 414 reviews
