The Bay Area Air Quality Management District voted 15-1 to begin charging companies for carbon dioxide pollution starting July 1. Danger Mouse, the producer of Black Keys' fifth album, also has Gnarls Barkley on his resume, which could mean big things for this blues-rock duo. They're due to perform in England, France, and Australia over the next month, with appearances in the U.S. in August and September.

Local News Story
Waste Management has announced plans to convert excess methane from its Altamont landfill into liquefied natural gas, which would power some of its trucks. New charity to consider: College Track. As featured in Bill Clinton's book "Giving," College Track offers high-school students in East Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Oakland free tutoring, internships, and university application assistance.
