It's
true. The tour buses really do pull up during the early evening. On a
mild Tuesday evening, no less than two full-length coaches and two
smaller shuttles pulled patrons into this sizable Korean spot. The tasty
banchan side dishes and tofu soup come before your ordered entree, the
sweet rice drink after. The spicy pork dish is great, and you always have the option to BBQ meats at your table. 4 stars - 722 reviews

The

dozens of bottles of tequila. Complimentary chips and two salsas arrive
promptly. The special of the night is shaken precisely and quickly into a

History
Frederick N. Funston
(1865-1917)
Though only 5 ft 5 in tall,
Mr. Funston explored Death Valley and Alaska, fought in the Cuban
Revolutionary Army, and served during the Philippine-American War. He commanded the Presidio in San Francisco during the 1906 earthquake, and created fire breaks and anti-anarchy laws
thereafter. His body lay in state in SF City Hall's rotunda before his
burial in SF National Cemetery. Lake Merced's Fort Funston, as well as Funston Avenue (which runs north-south from the Richmond through the Sunset to West Portal), are named after him.

Charity
Charity: Re-volv.
Quite simple, really. Individual donors contribute to a solar funding
pool. The pool then helps build solar energy projects at community
centers. The community centers lease the solar equipment, with the
payments reinvested into the solar funding pool.

The
popular weekly music festival returns Sunday for its 76th season.
Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs are the musical performers. Later this
season will be San Francisco Ballet, Shuggie Otis, and Kronos Quartet.
Though the show starts at 2pm, I highly recommend arriving by 11am if
you want a reasonable seat in view of the stage.
Locations are: the Orinda Theater; Jack London Square; Bank of the West; Courthouse Square; Dolores Park; and San Pedro Market.
3. San Francisco Street Festivals
North Beach hosts its 59th annual festival with street painting, animal blessings, and Italian mandolin. The Mayor makes an appearance on Fillmore St. to honor Emancipation. Noe Valley offers a bouncy house, hay rides, and petting zoo. Union Square Plaza brings in The Black Eyed Peas' Apl.de.Ap and other Filipino performers. And Yerba Buena Gardens has traditional hula from a Hawaiian dance company.
Traffic Reminder
The San Francisco Marathon
takes place Sunday morning. The Golden Gate Bridge, Mason St., Lincoln
Blvd., 26th-27th Ave., Haight St., 15th-17th St., Market St., and the
Embarcadero will all be impacted.
