So, I learned something. Woods is quietly building a Bay empire, with two other locations right here in San Francisco (Cerveceria at the corner of Dolores Park, Woods Polk Station). I'd say the main benefit of this place is the sizable front patio, complete with fireplace and plants. Several Woods beers are on tap, along with a few selected guest beers. Prices are in the $6-10 range. Apparently, this place has made its name by infusing beer with tea leaves.

Milo Foundation
The no-kill organization is named after Milo, a deaf-blind Australian Shepherd that the Director adopted during the '90s. A 283-acre sanctuary in Mendocino County complements an adoption space in Point Richmond. Volunteers are needed in Point Richmond for animal care, dog walking, and administration.

1. Chinese New Year Parade
Saturday, 5:15-8pm
New York has its Macy's parade on Thanksgiving, and LA has its Rose Parade. We've got two blockbuster parades - Pride in June, and this one during the winter. Stake out a place along the route, which proceeds from Market and 2nd, north on Geary, then back south on Post, and finally east on Kearny. There's also a street fair along Grant during the weekend, with total attendance forecast at 500,000.
2. National Day of Unplugging
Saturday 6pm - Sunday 6pm
The goal is to reconnect with the real world by not using computers, mobile phones, television for a full day.
3. Holi Celebration
Friday, 5-7pm
Trek out to San Ramon to celebrate in this pigment-heavy ritual to usher in the start of spring. Live music, dance performances, and face painting will complement the free-for-all.
4. Black Cuisine Festival
Saturday, 11am-6pm
Peruse soul food stands, a marketplace, and a rummage sale at the George Davis Senior Center in Bayview.

So, I learned something. Woods is quietly building a Bay empire, with two other locations right here in San Francisco (Cerveceria at the corner of Dolores Park, Woods Polk Station). I'd say the main benefit of this place is the sizable front patio, complete with fireplace and plants. Several Woods beers are on tap, along with a few selected guest beers. Prices are in the $6-10 range. Apparently, this place has made its name by infusing beer with tea leaves.

Milo Foundation
The no-kill organization is named after Milo, a deaf-blind Australian Shepherd that the Director adopted during the '90s. A 283-acre sanctuary in Mendocino County complements an adoption space in Point Richmond. Volunteers are needed in Point Richmond for animal care, dog walking, and administration.

1. Chinese New Year Parade
Saturday, 5:15-8pm
New York has its Macy's parade on Thanksgiving, and LA has its Rose Parade. We've got two blockbuster parades - Pride in June, and this one during the winter. Stake out a place along the route, which proceeds from Market and 2nd, north on Geary, then back south on Post, and finally east on Kearny. There's also a street fair along Grant during the weekend, with total attendance forecast at 500,000.
2. National Day of Unplugging
Saturday 6pm - Sunday 6pm
The goal is to reconnect with the real world by not using computers, mobile phones, television for a full day.
3. Holi Celebration
Friday, 5-7pm
Trek out to San Ramon to celebrate in this pigment-heavy ritual to usher in the start of spring. Live music, dance performances, and face painting will complement the free-for-all.
4. Black Cuisine Festival
Saturday, 11am-6pm
Peruse soul food stands, a marketplace, and a rummage sale at the George Davis Senior Center in Bayview.
