Twelve bighorn sheep from Inyo National Forest have been released in Yosemite's remote Cathedral Range as part of a lengthy recovery plan for the endangered animal. Overall, about 600 exist statewide in these types of survival areas.

restaurant has resurfaced as a one-year pop-up in the Inner Richmond.
Prices seem to be about 25% higher. Old favorites such as the tea leaf

Underserved Bay Area youths in the 4th-6th grades are given free outdoor education trips at the Optimist Youth Camp, a 100-acre site in San Gregorio. They learn cheese making (and have it for supper), take hikes in the redwoods, explore tidepools, and harvest enough organic vegetables for the evening salad.
