The electronic music pioneers finally received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammy Academy last month. The German duo formed in 1970, though one of them left the group in 2008. Kraftwerk often relies on a vocoder or computer speech software for lyrics used in their music. Catch them at three 3D concerts (two of which are sold out) at Oakland's Fox Theater, March 23-25.

Finally, a coordinated police effort will help deter bicycle theft and
return stolen bikes to their owners. A bike theft victim heads the
registry program, entitled SAFE Bikes.

The menu rotates, and right now I spy tasty-sounding fried chicken and house-ground cheeseburger entrees. But, unlike many of its brethren, this place is relatively large and offers entertainment options such as skeeball, shuffleboard, and arcade games. Along the rear wall sits the food window, where you can partake in hot wings, candy bacon, or mac 'n' cheese. I've only seen this on a weeknight, and from reviews it sounds like it can be a tad crowded and dancey on a weekend. 4 stars - 598 reviews

Milton Marks
(1920-1998)
Born and raised in San Francisco, Mr. Marks attended Galileo High, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley Law School. He rose to the rank of Major during WWII, and then shifted to politics once he graduated from law school. His first election victory came in 1958 to the California State Assembly as a Republican, then he moved to the State Senate during a special election in 1967. He switched to the Democrat Party in 1988, and eventually retired in 1996 due to term limits. The Senator Milton Marks Branch Library, located in the Richmond District, is named after him.

History
Milton Marks
(1920-1998)
Born and raised in San Francisco, Mr. Marks attended Galileo High, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley Law School. He rose to the rank of Major during WWII, and then shifted to politics once he graduated from law school. His first election victory came in 1958 to the California State Assembly as a Republican, then he moved to the State Senate during a special election in 1967. He switched to the Democrat Party in 1988, and eventually retired in 1996 due to term limits. The Senator Milton Marks Branch Library, located in the Richmond District, is named after him.

Charity: Rocky Mountain Wild. This organization focuses on the biological diversity of the Rocky Mountain West. This means monitoring wildlife and native plants, advocating for preservation in development-rich zones, and implementing solutions for wildlife crossing routes. The fight to end domestic violence against women goes global on Valentine's Day. Three such events in San Francisco involve apl.de.ap (Black Eyed Peas), dance, song, spoken word, advocates, and survivors.
