award-winning pizzas are, clearly, the draw here. While you're waiting
for a table, I'd stroll over to pick up some focaccia or gelato nearby.
The margherita is very, very good, but you'll find a variety of cooking
options (coal, gas, brick, electric) and toppings. Love the meatballs.

After filling up on
thin-crust pizza from Tony's, I'd duck into this narrow alley for a
beverage. It's a bit speakeasy-like, with the lack of signage and the
dark interior. High-quality cocktails and a decent amount of seating

History
William Chapman Ralston(1826-1875)
The Ohio-born businessman struck it rich with Nevada's Comstock Lode.
With the proceeds, he built Belmont's historic Ralston Hall and San
Francisco's California Theatre and Palace Hotel. His empire collapsed in
1875, and he was found dead in the Bay one day later. Ronald Reagan's
final acting role portrayed Mr. Ralston in Death Valley Days (1965). Belmont's Ralston St. is named after him.

Such a cool
idea. For seven years, Urban Tilth has worked to bring agriculture to
urban areas of Richmond and San Pablo. The program has partnered with
schools, nonprofits, corporations, and government and now coordinates 12
small farms and three churches. The Greenway Community Garden, in the
heart of the Iron Triangle, and the Kennedy High Farm and Garden are two
great examples. Earlier this month, Richmond High hosted a student-run
salad bar for lunch by using harvested lettuce and lemons, and
student-made salad dressings.
