Movies (domestic revenues through June 7)
Raunchy comedy "The Hangover" surprised insiders with $45.0 million (rated R, 3269 screens, $13,759 per screen), enough to push "Up" to second place (rated PG, $44.1 million, $137.2 million overall, 2nd weekend, 3818 screens, $11,561 per screen). Neither "Land of the Lost" (PG-13, $18.8 million, 3521 screens, $5,350 per screen) nor "My Life in Ruins" (PG-13, $3.2 million, 1164 screens, $2,769 per screen) found its target audience and opened weakly in third and ninth, respectively.
